What is a Physiatrist?

A Physiatrist ( FIZZ-EYE-A-TRIST) is a medical doctor whose area of expertise is Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. After graduation from medical school, residency requirements include a one year internship followed by three years of specialty training.
